Barkerville, BC was a big town during the gold rush. Now it's maintained so people can see what it looked like in the late 19th century. It burned down in 1868 when a drunk knocked over a stovepipe while trying to kiss a barmaid. This is how it looked after it was rebuilt. The gold it pretty much gone.
