Hoover Dam
Today, the weather was good enough for us to take that trip into the Grand Canyon. We flew from Boulder City Airport (a bit southeast of Las Vegas) to the Hualapai tribal airport. From there, we got on a helicopter and went down into the Grand Canyon. I took the picture of Hoover Dam (above) from the plane as we went from Boulder City Airport to Hualapai Airport. Originally, it was supposed to be called Boulder Dam, but you know how presidents get about putting their name on stuff. The lake you see behind Hoover Dam is called Lake Mead. It's also named after a dead white guy. The reflections you see in the picture have something to do with the fact that they wouldn't let me open my window on the plane while we were flying.
