This is the beginning of my travel blog for the road trip with my wife, Carolyn from Los Angeles to Maryland. The flowers are from the beginning of our trip. They were on the kitchen table of the apartment that we maintain in Los Angeles so that we can be snowbirds. We started our trip on Wednesday, October 8th. We got as far as Barstow, CA that night. Not very far, but we got a late start and encountered lots of traffic. It took us 3 hours to get out of the LA area.
